Mike and Jim discuss and debate the action role playing video game Diablo IV, which they both spend most of their gaming time playing. This episode focuses on its Lord of Hatred expansion that was released in late April 2026, which introduced a new campaign, two new character classes (Paladin and Warlock), an updated skill tree, a new talisman system for set items, a new Horadric Cube crafting system, and new war plans for endgame activities.

Was Stranger Things Overrated?

Mike and Jim discuss and debate the Netflix television series Stranger Things, which concluded its 5-season, and nearly 10-year, run at the end of 2025. While they agree the phenomenal first season was why the show became a huge hit, they think the show become formulaic and repetitive as it progressed, had some weak storytelling arcs, and took some big narrative swings to conclude the series, ultimately leaving them wondering if it was overrated.

Project Hail Mary

Mike and Jim discuss and debate the 2026 movie Project Hail Mary, including how Mike almost fell asleep multiple times during it, Jim unnecessarily saw it in IMAX, Mike was disappointed by the limited actual science, Jim thought Grace should have died early and often, Mike was doing okay until Rocky showed up, Jim found the story to be formulaic and unsurprising, Mike believes all the hype is because people watched it emotionally instead of thoughtfully, and Jim explains (without having read it) the book was better than this solidly okay movie.

Diablo (Video Game)

Mike, Jim, and returning guest host Brandon discuss the action role-playing video game series Diablo in the weeks and days leading up to the release of Diablo IV. 
The first part of this episode was recorded on the weekend of the final public beta for Diablo IV, and features Mike and Brandon playing the beta while discussing their history with the franchise, as gaming noob Jim asks basic questions about it.
The second part of this episode was recorded two weeks later (just a few days before the early release of Diablo IV) after Jim bought a PS5, borrowed Mike's copy of Diablo III and played it for 10 days. Here Mike goes into a little more detail about the franchise, compares and contrasts Diablo II and Diablo III, and helps Jim better understand what is coming in Diablo IV.
