Project Hail Mary

Mike and Jim discuss and debate the 2026 movie Project Hail Mary, including how Mike almost fell asleep multiple times during it, Jim unnecessarily saw it in IMAX, Mike was disappointed by the limited actual science, Jim thought Grace should have died early and often, Mike was doing okay until Rocky showed up, Jim found the story to be formulaic and unsurprising, Mike believes all the hype is because people watched it emotionally instead of thoughtfully, and Jim explains (without having read it) the book was better than this solidly okay movie.
